About this Series:
In this 3-part series, Mary will share what she has learned over the last 10 years teaching the Hot Yoga Series as well as her knowledge of Body Somatic Therapy, which includes the study of the anatomy of the body, body alignment and imbalances and how to correct those imbalances, myofascial release and energy work.
She will start by explaining basic alignment concepts, basic anatomy and basic movement terminology. Armed with these concepts we will explore how your unique body alignment and imbalance affects your poses. As we break down each pose you will begin to understand; for example, how tight hips might be preventing you from going deeper into multiple poses or how being out of alignment is affecting your series.
We will work to find your right alignment and expression of the pose to help deepen your practice. In addition you will get tips on things you can do at home and in your everyday life to help you not only with your practice, but to help with overall health and well-being.

Bring a mat, water, notebook and pen. Handouts will be provided. Wear your yoga clothes.
